I wrote a pretty good short story a few years ago called Bloomers <-(click to read).
A neighbor (Ryan) who's a pretty good artist has begun to illustrate it with plans to self publish, but a friend just pointed out that I ought to send it off to a publisher.
An established publisher could do a lot more with it than me. And publishers prefer to choose their own artist.
So give me your feedback - should I have Ryan quit illustrating it (he has developed some good concepts but hasn't gotten very far) and send it off to a publisher instead?
Yes. You should send it off to an established publisher. You aren’t committing to anything unless they make you a desirable offer. This is also a time of significant change, and foundational shifting of paradigms/old ways of doing things for you. Go for it brother. 🙂
I agree with Melanee, although I am a newbie…….
I really enjoyed bloomers, in fact, I thought it was a lil’ too good! LOL!!
I think you should definitely get it published….
I liked a lil’ too much, but ya the more illustrations the better in my opinion…
Those illustrations add a really nice =FEEL= to the story…
But the story is so good, it doesn’t really matter if you wait…
But definitely get it published, because I would love to buy a copy!!!
GO FOR IT BRO!!!
