Shaun wrote Bloomers for some neighborhood kids who he wanted to persuade to shake off expectations to stay small and let loose all the greatness they had inside. Two friends have used the story in lessons and presentations to good effect - one reported that everyone in her class cried, and the parent of one student reported, weeks later, that the story changed her son's life.

Is your Christmas novel related to your novella “The Spirit is Willing”? I remember reading that years back. Good stuff!
It is, actually. Good memory, Jenny! That became book two, “The Perfect Gift” (it’s much, much better now), and book one, “Courage, Love and the Meaning of Life” (or “of Christmas”), was written later.
How many books do you have out?
Thanks for the reminder of good times way back when….
I just finished reading The Perfect Gift. I really enjoyed it. At the end you say to go to shaunroundy.com to see when A Fall from Heaven will be released. I’d love to know when it’s available on my Kindle! Thanks for your writing talent. May you be blessed.
Donna Randolph
Thanks for your kind words, Donna, and I’m happy that you enjoyed the books!
I will let you know here and on Facebook.com/ChristmasNovels when the book is ready, and you can get on the list to be notified by email by sending a message to heaven@shaunroundy.com – you’ll receive an automated reply and then you’ll be the first to know once it’s finished.
Shaun
My wife and I just finished your two Christmas Novels. I had been wanting to read a Christmas themed novel together and fortunately I found your books on Amazon at an incredible Kindle price.
I wanted to share that we read every page of these two books together. We both recently bought iPads and the Kindle format triggered the plan. We sat together and took turns reading to each other. We even read together a couple nights when I was out of town via cell phone.
We finished The Perfect Gift today after reading three hours straight. We can’t wait for Book Three. We enjoyed your writing style and found many introspective topics to ponder and meditate on. We also enjoyed the venues and emotional struggles and progression of all your characters. We could see the books on the big screen.
We look forward to reading some of your other books soon, but especially “A Fall From Heaven”. We think your students have a great talent to learn from.
Thanks
Thanks, Doug!!
It’s incredibly satisfying to hear that you enjoyed the books so much, and I’ve been getting so many complimentary emails lately – which are sometimes impatient for the sequel to become available – that I know I really need to get the third book finished up pronto. I’ll take the time to make sure it’s done right, though. I have some important ideas to convey and I want to make sure they fall into place smoothly. I hope to finish up in the next few months. And I hope you’re right about the film adaptation potential!
I’ve been thinking lately about how much I love Amazon for creating a way for indie authors to reach so many readers. At the rate my Kindle sales have been growing – over three thousand last month – I may be able to take off summers and turn out three or four titles per year. A nice dream – I’ll wait and work and see if it comes true.
Shaun,
Just read both Courage, Love and the Meaning of Christmas and the Perfect Gift. Was at some crossroads in life and these really helped me make decisions and go for it. Am now rereading because alot of what I got out of them I want to reinforce. Hurry up with #3. I will have these two read the second time within a week or so and can’t wait for the next one. I read a ton of Christian Romance type books but have never ready one written by a guy before so I was skeptical. You proved me wrong. Thanks. I’ve also never commented on anyones website like this good or bad but just really felt like telling you how much I enjoyed the books and how much they effected me. Thank you.
Awesome. Thanks for saying so, Laura!!
