Being indirect with god, is not a way to get his attention..
You must choose your “wording” to him and have confidence…

It shows that when he does help us we are going to do it! Or another way to say that, that we are on board to stick through with whatever we are asking for but we realize we can’t do it on our own and need his help. I think in a way it shows more humility – because we are recognizing our need for His help. Just my opinion. But I don’t think He’s really going to give us what we are asking for if we don’t really mean it or aren’t sure for ourselves if we’re even going to do anything with those blessings.
